Turn early ideas into something others can see, discuss, and evaluate.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't building — it's clarifying what the idea is. I help turn rough concepts into something people can react to — so understanding, feedback, and better decisions come faster.

For founders, owners, educators, nonprofit leaders, and internal stakeholders working through ideas that are still taking shape.

Explore an Idea

Not product development. Early idea acceleration.

This is for the stage before implementation decisions. When an idea is still fuzzy, hard to explain, or difficult for others to react to, a lightweight prototype, concept model, or exploratory artifact can create clarity quickly.

What I Do

I help make sense of early ideas before they become implementation projects. Through short, selective engagements, I work with individuals and small organizations to surface assumptions, frame the concept, and make it tangible enough for useful feedback.

The work is as much about framing as it is about making. A prototype comes later — as evidence of the thinking, and as something tangible enough to move the conversation from abstraction toward shared understanding.

Outputs are usually digital, shareable, and intentionally lightweight: enough to support understanding, alignment, and a better decision about what should happen next.

How I Work

These are not steps in a sequence but aspects of a collaborative process. Depending on the situation, we may move between them fluidly as ideas become clearer.

Best Fit

Good fit

  • Early-stage ideas
  • Concepts that are hard to explain
  • Exploration before implementation decisions
  • Small organizations
  • Founders, owners, educators, and nonprofit leaders
  • People who need to align before deciding

Not a fit

  • Production software development
  • Outsourced implementation
  • Ongoing product execution
  • Physical manufacturing or fabrication
  • Large consulting programs
  • Vendor procurement

Engagements

Selective engagements centered on early ideas, stakeholder communication, and decision clarity. The engagement pays for the clarification and the artifact together — the thinking that gives the idea its shape, and the prototype that makes it easier to discuss.

Most engagements fall within $750–$1500 depending on scope.

I expect to take on only 3–4 carefully selected collaborations per year.

Approach

Ideas often become clearer when they can be seen, discussed, and tested in conversation. Prototypes help move a conversation from abstraction toward shared understanding.

About

I bring senior product and project management experience to the early, ambiguous stage of an idea: noticing patterns, clarifying what matters, and helping people align around something they can finally see.
